Clara

After reading the story of Pencils for Kids in an article by Paul Wildie in the Globe and Mail, 8 year old Clara told her mother that she wanted to donate all of her birthday money for her 9th birthday to Pencils for Kids. Spreading the word to her family and friends, Clara invited Robin to speak at her birthday party and let everyone know what children in Liboré face on a day to day basis. It was a heartfelt party and everyone donated money to P4K. Clara decided to sponsor a Kindergarten with the incredible amount of money raised. The Kindergarten named "Clara’s Kids” opened in October 2009. With compassion and determination children are leading the way and effecting change!
